Due to the Global Pandemic of 2020-2021, my divorce challenged me further. This period was such a unique experience for us all. With unprecedented levels of uncertainty, fear and isolation across the globe, I was forced to face the mental and emotional impact of my divorce, for the most part alone.
This also gave me the space and time to reflect on my life, appreciate the great support of my family and friends, and I was able to assess how and where I can better contribute to those closest to me and beyond.
My story has a happy ending and yours will too - believing in myself and having a strong support network, has enabled me to regain my confidence, and to start my new life as a single woman without being burdened with shame, guilt or loneliness.
As cliché as it may sound, that tumultuous period has made me stronger, and you will be stronger as well!
Life is a precious gift, and I am loving the new challenges and adventures that I have embarked upon! I travel, I often meet up with family and friends, and spending time with my children and grandchildren is a beautiful thing. Keeping fit is good for the mind and soul; I have a routine of yoga and meditation, alongside swimming, tennis and going to the gym.
Separation is one of the most stressful and painful experiences that we can go through, but that is why we must not go through it alone.
